Partnership Commitment Application / Eligibility Criteria
In keeping with the standards required by the Mayor's Healthy City Initiative, HealthyBR.com will list entities as resources on its Web site that meet the following criteria:
- Must be a national, statewide or local nonprofit organization, program or agency, hospital/health system or university/college with active programming or services in the Baton Rouge area.
- Must have information or resources that relate to "and are compatible with the" Mayor's Healthy City Initiative focus areas:
- Healthy eating - the intent of improving or maintaining optimal health through a balanced, nutritional diet.
- Active lifestyle - the behaviors and practices of maintaining optimal health through exercising and physical activities.
- Must have information or resources that relate to one or more Mayor's Healthy City Initiative focus areas: Healthy eating and an active lifestyle
- Must agree to link their Web site to the HealthyBR.com Web site and adhere to the format considerations and usage guidelines for the HealthyBR logo.
- Must agree to participate as an organization in a minimum of two community events per year. Possible events include: Mayor's Fun Run - Spring, Mayor's Healthy Community Picnic - July 4th, Mayor's 5K/10K Run - Fall. Please see the partners' web sites listed under Healthy Partners to learn more about scheduled events in our community.
- When appropriate, promote the Mayor's Healthy City Initiative focus areas.
We ask the initial participants to further invite other eligible organizations and programs.
Posting Guidelines for posting Web site on HealthyBR.com
- Site must be family friendly.
- The site should be easy to navigate.
- The site must be devoted to healthy eating and/or an active lifestyle and must display content that is helpful, informative and useful.
- If permissible by your organization or program, display the HealthyBR seal on your Web site. The location of the seal is voluntary, but we recommend that it be placed on your homepage or two clicks from your homepage.
- Anything you post is your responsibility. We expect that you will provide only information that you own or have authority to display.
- You are expected to have someone in the organization who can serve as your Web site's "webmaster". Your webmaster will be responsible for maintaining your web pages and keeping them current. We will not change content on your website, but we reserve the right to accept or reject information and we reserve the right to delete already published information from the HealthyBR Web site.
- We are not responsible for the contents of any Web site that is linked from or to the HealthyBR.com.
- You agree to abide by copyright laws and regulations.
- You agree not to post content that is illegal, threatening, abusive, defamatory, pornographic, deceptive, false, misleading, disruptive, or not relevant to the public-information mission of the Mayor's Healthy City Initiative.
- You agree to accept responsibility for your dealings with other users and not to hold HealthyBR.com responsible for the conduct of people you encounter through our site.
- The Mayor's Healthy City Initiative may change these rules at any time, and has sole discretion on interpreting these rules and determining compliance.
Seal of Approval Application Review
The Mayor's Healthy City Certification Committee will review applications quarterly.

Application deadline: June 15, 2009
Application deadline: September 15, 2009
Application deadline December 15, 2009
Once your application is submitted online, you will receive an automated receipt email from HealthyBR .
- Your site will be reviewed to determine if it meets eligibility guidelines.
- Eligible sites will be reviewed by the Mayors Healthy City Certification Committee and approved organizations will receive notification of partnership and the award of the HealthyBR Seal by mail from the Mayor's Office. At that time you will receive further instructions on how to activate and link the HealthBR Seal .
- Application for Partnership and the HealthyBR Seal does not guarantee approval and the Mayor's Healthy City Certification Committee reserves the right to deny or approve all submitted applications.
- Application decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
- The Web site owner must agree to remove the HealthyBR Seal image and link if the Mayor's Healthy City Certification Committee determines it no longer meets or serves the intent of the Mayor's Health City Initiative. Web site content will be periodically monitored.
