Meet Our Partners: Capital Area United Way
Capital Area United Way seeks to improve lives by leveraging partnerships in our community to advance the common good through education, income stability, and healthy living. We serve the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population - those individuals who are above the poverty line but still do not make enough to make ends meet. We serve the a 10-Parish service area consisting of: Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. James, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana. Our initiatives and services include United Way 211/CAUW, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and United We Feed.
