Capital Area Human Services (CAHS): Capital Area Human Services serves the seven parishes of Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Pointe Coupee,   West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana. This website covers services provided, hours of operation, and telephone numbers to directly contact the provider in or near your community. 

Louisiana Mental Health Association: (LAMHA): Louisiana Mental Health Association's mission is to provide services for persons with or at risk for mental health and substance use abuse issues. LAMHA provides programs, training, capacity building, and advocacy. You can find more information about their work and additional resources on this website.

Bridge Center for Hope: The Bridge Center for Hope is an independent nonprofit operating Louisiana's first-ever adult crisis receiving facility. The Center offers a short-term crisis stabilization center to treat individuals 18 years or older experiencing mental health or substance use challenges. The Bridge Center operates under a no wrong door approach that allows anyone experiencing a crisis to receive services. The Bridge Center has four units and offers six programs.  A 23-hour observation unit, a short-term psychiatric unit, a medical detoxification unit, a center-based respite unit, a mobile response team, and a care management team.

Keep Calm crisis phone line provides trained, compassionate counselors to support Louisianans through this difficult time. Counselors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with information and service coordination, linking callers to mental health and substance abuse counseling services.

Louisiana Spirit Crisis Counseling Program

The Louisiana Spirit Crisis Counseling Program (commonly referred to as Louisiana Spirit) is operated during a presidentially declared disaster under the oversight of the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Behavioral Health (LDH/OBH). Louisiana Spirit helps people recover and rebuild their lives after a disaster at no cost to the survivor. Through short-term interventions, crisis counselors provide public education about disaster reactions and coping strategies, crisis counseling; and stress management services to assist disaster survivors and their families, local government staff, rescuers, disaster first responders, business owners, religious communities, and other special populations. In EBR, Capital Area Human Services operates the Louisiana Spirit Program.

Louisiana Survivors of Suicide Support Group (SOS): Survivors of Suicide Support Group meets virtually every Thursday from 6:30 – 8 p.m. 
VIA LINK partners with Grief Recovery Center to offer a free, weekly support group for adults (18+) who have lost a loved one to suicide.  SOS Group meets virtually on zoom and is available state-wide in Louisiana.  SOS Group is facilitated by Sherrard Crespo, LMSW.  For information or to join SOS Group, please email SOS@vialink.org
