This group will be devoted to those interested in bicycling in the Downtown East area. So where exactly IS Downtown East? It is located between Mid City and downtown Baton Rouge. The eastern boundary is the KC rail line. To the north, it goes to Choctaw and south to Myrtle along the rail corridor.
We ask that you please follow the laws in regards to bicycling. This means that all riders should have front and rear lights. Although helmets for adults are not required by law, it is encouraged. Children are welcomed, but must be accompanied by an adult and MUST wear a helmet.
This is a ride at your own risk group. This is an unsupported ride (no vehicle escorts or blocking of roads).
