The Salvation Armyserves those in need in East/West Baton Rouge, Ascension, Inerville, Livingston, East/West Feliciana, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, and St. James parishes-with a mission of preaching the Gospel of Jeus Christ and meeting human needs in His namewithout discrimination. The Baton Rouge Corps consists of a Men's Drug and Alcohol Recovery Program and Emergency Shelter, Corps Community Center, and weekly Women and Youth Programs, as well as a Family store.
The Salvation Army Men’s Recovery Program is a free six month to one year, residential, Christ Centered 12 step program utilizing the principles of AA, NA and Celebrate Recovery. Beneficiaries must be fully able to stand and work a 40 hour a week work therapy assignment and attend classes. Male 21 - 65 year old Photo ID Social Security Card Drug and Alcohol Free Proof of a TB test in the last year 30 day supply of all medication. Applicants with a true desire to get help may simply call the intake office at:: 225 355-4483 to make an appointment or to get more information about the Men’s Recovery Program.
