Love fried catfish, but are looking for something a little lighter? You’ve come to the right place. This Oven Fried Catfish is not only tasty—it’s just as crispy without all of the grease!

Oven Fried Catfish

Ingredients

  • Vegetable Cooking Spray 

  • 4 (3 – 4 oz) catfish fillets

  • 3 eggs, scrambled

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon no-salt creole seasoning

  • 1 1/3 cups plain breadcrumbs

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray baking sheet with vegetable cooking spray.
  • Add garlic and onion powder to breadcrumbs.
  • Crack eggs into a dish and scramble them with a fork.
  • Dip fish fillets into eggs, then breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place fish fillets in a single layer on the pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray and marinate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • After 30 minutes, take fish out of the refrigerator and spray the tops of fish with vegetable cooking spray.
  • Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
