This quick and easy chicken salad spread is a tasty and healthy snack.

Chicken Salad Spread


  • 2 cups of canned chicken, rinsed and drained, then finely chopped

  • ¾ cups of green onions, chopped

  • ¾ cups of celery, finely chopped

  • ½ cup of fat-free ranch dressing

  • ½ cup of sweet pickle relish

  • 1 hard-cooked egg, chopped

  • Grapes or apples, chopped (optional)


  • Boil the egg:
         a. Place the egg in a small pot and fill it with enough water to cover the egg.
         b. Bring the pot to a boil, turn off the heat, and cover for 10 minutes.
         c. Shock it in an ice bath after boiling.
  • Drain the canned chicken.
  • Chop green onions and celery.
  • Add chicken, green onions, celery, ranch, and sweet pickle relish to a bowl, and mix together.
  • Peel and chop the boiled egg, then gently stir it into the chicken salad mix.
  • Optional – gently stir in chopped grapes or apples if you like a sweeter chicken salad.
